Abstract

This is an example of a Quarto Book that uses the focus-mode extension of Quarto-book

Preface

This is a minimal example of the Focus Mode extension for Quarto Book.

Two keyboard-driven modes that work on top of any Quarto Book HTML output:

This extension is desktop-only and is automatically disabled on mobile/touch devices.

  • Focus Mode (keyboard shortcut f) hides the sidebar and margin TOC so the content takes center stage — great for reading without distractions and bigger images. To get back the TOC, press (keyboard shortcut t) or click the floating button in the bottom-left corner.

  • Presentation Mode (keyboard shortcut p) splits the page into one slide per section or subsection.

    • Navigate forward and backward with PageDown / PageUp within the same chapter, and / to move between chapters. A progress bar shows where you are in the book.
